Florida Burn 2025 Summer Tryout Information

Florida Burn 2025 Summer Tryouts will take place December 21 at Calvary Christian HS (Clearwater) and January 11-12-19 at the Venice HS Baseball Complex (Venice). If you have what it takes to be selected for a Burn team and play against the best competition in the country this is the event for you!


What do you need to do to make sure you are good to go for one of the tryouts?


1) Select one of the four dates (Dec 21/Jan 11/Jan 12/or Jan 19) to attend. All players must attend one tryout date.It does not matter which tryout you attend.


2) Fill out the player form (below). Please make sure you have all the fields filled out or the form may not submit.


3) Submit the player form.


4) Make your payment via the link located directly below the player form. You will be directed to the Burn Store, a secure site we use for all transactions.


5) That is it! We will be back in touch with you one week prior to your tryout with a detailed itinerary outlining when you should arrive and how long your tryout will take.


FAQs about the Burn Summer Season


1) Which events do the Burn teams participate in during the summer? We play in 5-6 events each summer including the top events run nationally by Perfect Game, PBR, and others. Some of the events include:  PG WWBA Championship (Georgia) for all teams, the PG BCS (Fort Myers) for all teams, PG UBC-top ten travel teams in America, PG World Series, PG National Elite Invitational (Hoover, AL), PBR NPI (Lakepoint, GA)


2) Do we practice? We do practice prior to the season beginning in late May. Practices will be held during the weekend in the Sarasota, FL area. Once the season begins, our national teams do not hold practices other than prior to or possibly after our games at certain events. Our Pinellas County based teams will have scheduled practices in between events. Our summer season ends in late July.


3) What is the cost? Our summer fee will be determined in February prior to the time any player may have to make a commitment. It is determined by event cost, coaching expenses, uniform cost, insurance, equipment, etc. We do not incorporate any sort of hotel/lodging cost. Travel to and from events and lodging are the responsibility of the player's family.


4) When will teams be selected? All of our teams will be selected within one week from the final tryout date. Although no National or Scout team will be determined before all tryout participants have been evaluated, Pinellas/Hillsborough County based teams will be determined by January 1st.
